This is a port, with permission, of Erwin's old 2.x modification.
I am releasing it here first so that it can be tested a bit on more experienced vbulletin webmasters.

Amykhar, would it be possible to mod the "the forbid users...." in such a way that after 3 warning the user is automatically banned. I noticed spammers care less about the warning message and repeatly try to game the system untill they force a link (combination of spaced characters words and symbols) in the post. Would it be possible to do this with a session counter, that counts the number of messages the user recieved before banning him/her? Preferably the spammer might get some nasty message like " THank You For Not Cooperating...You Are Banned" Thank you |

ok. I got it done. In the two plugins, you will need to change the 22 to use the userid of the admin that has banning rights.

Amy, the product works however Ban Reason seems to be blank in the admincp, and "username" and "banned by" have the same username. |

Where are you looking at the ban info? On the user profile or on the list of bans in the admincp? (I don't ban all that often and am trying to work out any kinks in the system)

Can you pm me admin login info for your site? This will go faster if I can get a handle on where the problem is. My ban table here looks fine.  Perhaps there is another mod conflicting or something and it would just work faster to do it directly.
