Name? Oy vey. The Great Name Debate rages on. Elektra is out, courtesy of mom's veto power. Chloe and Zoe are out because of complex interpersonal relations between various teens at our house. Currently, the odds are on Dixie. However, stay tuned. None of us can decide. Dan keeps pushing us to make up our minds, so I told him that we'd decided on 'Iolanthe'. He stopped asking.

Since she may have a future as Libby's personal "chauffer and seeing eye friend", how about name her after Helen Keller's teacher, Annie Sullivan? or call it Keller? or some girl name that means "leader" or something? |

Pixie says I can't have a puppy.
The boyfriend says I can't have a puppy.
Stranger says "Meow" while standing at the door, which I'm interpretting as I can't have a puppy, since everyone else seems to be against me too.

My kids want one SO badly now that the neighbors have a puppy.  So hard to explain to them that we CAN'T have a dog with the boys' asthma. |

They do??? Excuse me while I go have a word with Libby. She does the deaf collie act whenever I tell her to stay off the dining room table.

Don't know if you've got a name yet for the pooch, but why not go for something with meaning?
Ailean (pronounced Ay-luhn) - means handsome
Cailean (pronounced Kah-luhn) means pup
Cullen - means young handsome animal
Eachann - (pronounced EU-chun) means steadfast
Evan - warrior
Forbish - headstrong
Lachlan - belligerent
Lyall - loyal
Payton - noble
Ryan - little king/strong

I still like Annie (for Annie Sullivan, Helen Keller's teacher, since she will be Libby's "guide dog" eventually)...
