This is such a nightmare! I am afraid to buy dogfood now. THe girls are quite happy having salmon, eggs, and all sorts o fyummy stuff, but I want to be able to give them normal old dog food.

It's getting worse. Now they are saying that some pigs have been fed the contaminated food, and they (federal health officials) don't know whether or not any of those pigs have entered the human food chain. The pigs are now under quarantine. A poultry farm may also be involved.
I have thrown away probably $100 of pet foods or people food. Are we going to stop buying stuff from China anytime soon? Just last wek I threw away a 5 lb. bag of raw shrimp. I thought I'd checked the label, but I'd looked in the wrong place. I saw "packed in the U.S.A" but missed the "product of China". No shrimp for my crabs.
