I may be in trouble.
There's a new stray hanging out in my back yard. I think it's a boy. He's kinda small. And orange and white. And really cute.
He's also shy. Wouldn't let me get close enough to touch. Would let me get close enough to give him a bowl of kibble.
I'm gonna check on him again tonight. See if relations improve.
Oh, so can't take in another cat. The goob will kill me. And it'a boy. Boys spray. Yeah, boys only spray when.... but they do. Although he's kinda small. So maybe it's possible to "nip" that in the bud if we act quickly.
I've already called the taxi company the goob works for, and asked the dispatcher if he wants a cat. But they've just taken in two strays they've found.
But this apartment is so SMALL! I can't fit in another cat! Especially one who's really young & probably enegetic. Of course, if I bring in a third cat, it might bond with Stranger. Stranger needs a buddy. Stranger doesn't need a buddy, she's got me.
Oh, yeah, and I'm taking off for Utah at the beginning of next month so of COURSE I can't take in a cat right now...
Oh, help.

Boys don't spray, not always. I have three kitty boys who don't. And he sounds so cute! Even if you don't keep him, couldn't you post a picture?  |

There are 40 cameras in this apartment and the only one I know how to use doesn't have any film right now.

Well, he's out there again (still?) tonight. I gave him some more food. He's still very wary of me. He definately looks young and underfed. And I bet I know who his daddy is. 
MI law states that stray animals have to go to animal control. Animal control will keep strays for four days. I looked it up.

maybe you can temporarily house him, until you find his a home.
not all boys spray. Meowlth never did(pee on laundry when litter box was dirty but never spray)

Still no Marmel. He's probably sleeping at this point. The sun is out, it's a warm day. The girls assure me it's PRIME sleeping time.
And, man, you should SEE the looks on their faces when I carry kibble OUT of the apartment for Marmel. Cats do indignant SO well.

Well, no Marmel two days in a row. But the boyfriend thinks he saw him hanging around the bar next to my house last night. Poor baby, hanging with a rough crowd to try to fit in in a rough and tumble world...

I have been CONNED! Marmel has a people!
The upstairs neighbor and I have been feeding him and his scruffy little friend for a couple months now. The other day, I saw him with the people from the house next door! We weren't sure they belonged to him, since they usually collar their kitties. But last night I saw him walking with the lady next door. He was coming when she called him, and everything.
And then he helped the boyfriend inspect his new car tonight. Rotten little bugger. But SO cute.
