Emma is a lilac point Siamese - her markings don't photograph well, but her tail, tips and mask are a pearly lavendar grey.
Dixie is just stupid happy - she's actually playing again. She's been really sad, laying around, whining a lot, and now that she's given Emma a bath and kissed her ears, Dixie is a happy girl. Libs is cautiously optomistic. Alexander is terrified, as usual. King Kong doesn't care as long as she doesn't eat, Anna hasn't seen her but Suspects Something, and Poe is utterly and abjectly terrified. Yep, Poe the meanest kitten ever is scared to death. When Poe spotted Emma, she tried to run but fell into a window ledge. Emma decided to sit in the window, and Poe yowled and leapt accross the room to land on #2's back with claws extended and just howled and howled until I came and rescued her from the unusually large and vicious kitten with the really big teeth. 
Emma has already met Helen and approves. It's a good thing, we;d miss Helen otherwise.  |

Emma is about as big as a button. She might weigh three pounds. Poe weighs 11. Emma really is a teensy little mouse, at least physically. |

#2 is like a first-time mom. He wiped her face after she ate last night, just in case she had food caught in her whiskers. Mind you, she is so clean she shines, she is a very careful groomer. #2 is also warning everyone to be quiet at night so that Emma can get enough rest - she's a baby, you know.
She has eyes so blue they are turquoise. She's tiny, and her biggest claim to fame is that she can turn her head around 360 degrees. Ok, not really, but it looks like it. And when we were at the breeder's, she was so calm she went limp in #1's arms. She purred and purred, and was such a calm cat that we were all talking about how she was going to make the other animals tone it down just a notch or two. Ha! When Helen was holding her, she snuggled down into her neck, then turned to face the rest of us, and got this devil's cat look. Ruh-roh. I think she is going to make Poe look like an amateur.
Poor Pixie, how is she managing with another cat sucking up all your love and affection? Poe seems pretty sure that is why Emma showed up. Last night, she not only slept with me as usual, she slept on me. Several times I woke up to having my face washed, and when I would open my eyes Poe would just purr and rub her little cheeks against mine. I think that's sort of like the toddler following its mom, hugging her all the time and saying,"You don't like the new baby, right? You love me the most, right?"  |

We had a MAJOR breakthrough today. When I woke up, Pixie was on one side of me, and Marmel was on the other.
Of course, the second I sat up they realized it and started hissing at each other.
