I was thinking about the old saw that says that human companions start to look like their animal companions after a while--which I beleive to be somewhat true in the abstract by the way.
Which got me to thinking that we tend to choose animal companions based on our own personalities and temperments.
From there I made a giant mental leap to the following:
If you were an animal, what species and breed would you be-- based on your personality?

It depends. Some days I'm a sleek, cool Siamese cat. Some days I'm a nervous, shaking chihuahua. Other days I'm an anxious, bark-at-everyone-around-me poodle.
so does that make me a Siamese hairless poodle?

According to Emode's "What Breed of Dog Are You" test , I'm a loyal, hard-working German shepherd. Though sometimes I feel more like a skittish rabbit, and every once in a blue moon I am just your regular domestic cat -- calm, cool, and perfectly in control.

Well according to Emode (which has crushed any possible fantasies I had about being some sleek, svelte, gorgeous canine creature ) I am a Bernese Mountain Dog 
I had to look the breed up because I couldn't even picture what the breed looked like.
Clearly the people at Emode have seen me before my morning shower.

I'd be a cat.
Some days an orange tabby.
Some days a calico/tortoise shell mix.
Some days a gray/white stalker.
Of course, I might be a toy poodle as well, jumping all around.
Oh, and I seem to recall that hadassahchana abhors some sort of animal, but can't remember which...

When I went to the quiz site, I was already cookied. Very odd.
My results say I'm a golden retriever. Am not!
I'd much rather be a cat. They can have mercurail moods and no says a word.

I repeat:

Okay, in the dog world, I'm a pug. Well, they're kinda cute.
In the cat world, I'm a Snowshoe (I've never heard of a Snowshoe breed of cat) Here's my profile:
The Snowshoe is gregarious and talkative. She is always ready for fun and will regularly try to instigate a game. While her strong intellect leads her to try new things, it also causes her to become easily bored when a task is mastered. Variety is truly the spice of life for this kitty! (NOTE: THIS IS ME TO A 'T'.) Affectionate with others, eager to interact, the Snowshoe is always the ‘belle of the ball’.
Hrmph. I'd rather be a jaguar. Or a cheetah.

Wow, I think I am Cybil.
The Persian is a relaxed observer. She quietly takes in the details of her surroundings and is happiest in her role as a spectator. The Persian will gladly accept affection, but does not often seek it out. Her loving and patient nature makes her an ideal housemate while her stress-free nature will allow her to make friends with whoever stops by. The Persian’s greatest past time is grooming her thick, tangle-prone fur, but it’s worth the effort, because she always looks fabulous!
Now isn't that the opposite of my dog personality? |

I'm a Snowshoe too! I'd never heard of this breed before.
Of course, I'd rather be completely black like my little darling familiars, just to scare the superstitious people.

The description does fit though, better than golden retriever. I do become easily bored with things I've mastered and like variety.
