Make-up on a bubble boy? LOL.
We did that for my nephew one time... we were getting pictures of Beanie and my nephew together for my mom for Mother's Day (back when we had two kids between us and not seven) and we used foundation to cover it.
Since then, we've had pictures with bruises, cuts, rug burn, goose eggs, and just NARROWLY missed one with a cast (Beanie broke her leg two days after I had her 18-month pictures done). |

Eh, take the pictures with the black eye, write a funny short story about how your family expresses holiday joy, and send em out...... 
If I have time I try to write an original short story or poem to send with my cards each year - sometimes I don't have time, and this year I'm pushing on finishing a novel, so it's taking up most of my free time (well, it and EA).
So for those of you who have asked if we like to get newsletters and fun family cards, you get a resounding YES from me - I love getting creative cards in the mail. Since I don't have time to do creative cards (I used to make mine on neat papers and stuff - too many to do that now) I try to do something for inside the card.
Only a short while left to sign up - spread the word!
Monday November 21 at noon I plan to compile the list and get it out to y'all that night so you have time to do all this in addition to stuff you already do.
And even though it is not yet Thanksgiving, I am starting to get pumped for
Christmas 
and
(C)Hanukah 
and
Kwanzaa 
and whatever other holidays fall in December

Ordered cards last night... G couldn't decide whether or not he needs cards for people at work, so I ended up ordering 152. 
Kids looked cute. Didn't get Tattoo to smile, but at least the others weren't looking like crazies. Beanie looks about 25 years old; it's scary. |

If you folks happen to get your cards from me insanely early, it's not because I've got a retail mentality. It's because I'm afraid I'll forget to mail them if I don't do it right away.
