| | EA HOLIDAY CARD EXCHANGE | | I'd love to organize addresses for a holiday card exchange here at EA - I love getting mail from all over in December, and saw this being done on another forum I'm in that isn't as much fun as here and figured EA was the perfect place for it.
I know not all of us celebrate Christmas, but the point is to share the spirit of the season with each other. If you'd like a specific holiday acknowledged (hannukah, kwanzaa) make a note of it. I figured it will only cost us a few stamps and a box of cards (or some printer paper if you make your own).
Here's how it will work.
Send me an email to lpphoenix at gmail dot com with the following information: Your Name - at least your first initial and last name if you are concerned about privacy - the USPS requires at least that much info for mailings Your street address Your town/city, state and zip (or equivalent) Your country Your preferred holiday if you want more than a standard "season's greetings" kind of card Your EA username for reference
I will compile a complete list of participants and post just the EA user names of the participants here as they come in to me. I will email you your copy of the complete address list in a plain text file format by Thanksgiving, so everyone's mail has time to get where it needs to go in December. I will also include at the end of the list the going rate for postcards and for first class mail under an ounce to each country on the list to help with stamp purchasing.
If you want to sign up, plan on postage for a list of people in the USA and also plan for foreign postage - some of us live in Canada and in other countries. Saving a little money on Holiday postcards instead of full sized cards or newsletters is completely fine. The fun is in getting a mail box full of cards from people you know from EA from all over the country and world.
Happy Holidays - hope you all join in......

| | Re EA HOLIDAY CARD EXCHANGE | | Will y'all throw up if I include my "Holiday Letter"?
(Of course, this is assuming I actually get cards and letters out ON TIME. Ever since I left retail I thought it would be a snap. <-----dumb me!!!!)

| | Re EA HOLIDAY CARD EXCHANGE | | I'm up for it, but I need an earlier cutoff date for ordering since we do picture cards. |

| | Re EA HOLIDAY CARD EXCHANGE | | Well, I can do one of two things - I can put you on the list and send it as-is to you when you need it (whenever that may be) or we can change the cutoff a little. |

| | Re EA HOLIDAY CARD EXCHANGE | | Whichever is easier for everyone. The picture appt. is the week before Thanksgiving, so that's when I need to order them. I can work with the later cutoff if folks understand if they've procrastinated, I won't have a card for them. |
