Looky look! My squares made it all the way to Florida! I'm jealous they are in the warm weather. 
They turned out pretty well, considering they are really the first things I've made. I was pretty happy with them! Now, just get me through the next month and I'll start on Dan's afghan.

Psst: Marine Corps colors are red and yellow, although the dress blues have navy blouses and blue pants to represent the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.

Really!!! Wow!! Brian told me orange and blue! Thanks, Deb!!
There is red in the afghan, but no yellow. I started joining last night and sort of changed my plan to edge each square in a color that coordinates well. That way adjacent squares are different colors and there is a nice rope effect. When it's all together we'll see how it looks. Mayb ew can edge it in red and yellow and it will look good - if not, we can do red and blue eding. Either way ....... |

Isn't it cool! It feels so good to make something for someone else! You, Bree, Cindy, Deb and everyone else that supported this project (whether or not they could actually crochet) put a lot of love into this! I think it's going to show when it's all done! |

Delia, when do you plan to mail this? I only have 4 condolence notes plus Cindy's tribute so far and I can supplement that a bit with a few other things I have. I just need to get everything formatted, printed, and bound, and the book to you.

Whatever colors you use will be beautiful.

Brian is horrified that he got this wrong.
Oh well.
I wanted to get this to the family during the week of Thanksgiving. If I work a bit every night and over the weekend, I should be able to get it all joined this week.
Do we have an address yet, or somebody to send this to who will deliver it for us? |
