I am going to do this again this year, since we all had so much fun with it last year.
You don't have to celebrate a certain holiday to play. If you don't care what kind of holiday card you get, just send the basic info. If you do care, just make a note for me that says "prefers Christmas" or "prefers Hannukah" (sp), etc. so I can let people know what type of card to send you.
If you want in, email me your name, EA handle and address. THE CUT OFF DATE FOR SIGN UP IS NOVEMBER 17th, 2006. NO EXCEPTIONS.
This early cut off is to allow people who order photo cards enough time to include enough for EA if they choose to do so.
Once I have all of the names on the 17th, I will compile and email the list in a txt file to the participants, just like last year. |

I will count you in. Just know that to honor everyone's privacy, I discarded the list of addresses from last year after the exchange was done. I didn't want them floating around. so just resend them this year to participate. |

Are there special rules/timelines/guidelines for this as far as who can participate?

Just like last year we'll have a one year active EA member in good standing cut off for participation.
I would like to make an exception for Bree since she is Lynn's daughter and has been actively participating for 7 months herself and has been an indirect participant through Lynn's posts for even longer. How do you all feel about family as an exception?

I've been thinking about it.
I don't think last years card earned the respect that it should have. Only one person that I know of (thank you Melanie) followed through with the project.
I was planning on crocheting for you all this year, however, I'm still exploring other options.  |

I'll email you with my details, Leslie, but count me in! This was so much fun last year. I'm not sure I'll allow Rex to write this year's letter though. He may still be in the dog house for getting in the garbage (again last night!!!)

Funny, I was just thinking about this this morning, because I still have mine in my inbox - I came across it while skimming through for something else.
I can't top free tampons and paint in the mail, but I do have mine already planned.

So how does it work? Do we send actual cards/holiday letters to everybody that signs up, or is it a virtual thing like the Halloween one (or am I confused on that too?)?

If you want to play, just send me your EA name, name, address and if you prefer generic, Christmas or Hannukah cards for the cards being sent to you. I keep track of the signups and any nagging for addresses and such and make a nice text file of them. Then I email everyone the text file and we all send each other cards in the mail over the holidays. Several were quite creative last year, and Wormie's had tongues wagging for weeks... |
