Did anyone else watch the remake? I loved the original, and I love Sir Ian McKellen, but the new one was just dreadful. I was really disappointed. Anyone else?

I saw the first 2 parts, but I haven't had time to finish the mini-series. Or "miniseries" as Maggie and I often pronounce it, rhymes with "miseries."
I was never a fan of the old series, but mostly because I hadn't watched them. I've only recently gone back and watched about half of the episodes in the middle of the night when I'm too tired to continue with my reading or writing or transcribing or analyzing or...
I like the old series. It is very interesting when I'm studying epistemology. Interesting and weird.
