I've been trying to post something in the Jason Priestly thread (in the Soapbox), and I keep on getting the "You can only post once every thirty seconds message." Tried clearing my cookies and logging out/logging in, but neither helped.
If you're reading this message, that means I was able to post here, right? So I'm going to conclude that the software is passing editorial judgment on what I've written. It is true that I was saying basically repeated points that other people made earlier, but how would the software know that?  |

Nope. Happened to me too when I tried to ask some questions in MSP's mystery game.
Then I tried again and it posted. But my post came out BEFORE his.
It's the time travel thing. She fixed the time on the servers. It's going to make a mess out of the chronology of the currently active threads. Oh well. |

So if I post this, will it show up above your post, making it appear that I answered your post before you even wrote it?
Would that make it appear that I really was as psychic as I claim to be?

Nope. But if you post something before one of my posts from, say, about half an hour ago (real time) then, yes, your post will come out first and you will appear to be psychic.
But I predict that by the time you find an appropriate post to 'predict' and by the time you formulate your post, the temporality window will have closed and you'll end up looking even more clueless than usual.

Actually, I'm having a bit of a selective problem. Every now and then, a strand won't come up when I try to reply. Others will (obviously). Haven't discerned a pattern yet. |
