Okay, I don't get a lot of PMs, but when I logged on today and the window popped up to open another window for a PM, the bar on the forums page above the box that says how many PMs one has since the log in was flashing BRIGHT RED.

It completely took me by surprise. Is there any way I can turn it off? It's kind of annoying.

Don't let anybody send you any PMs

It only flashes when you have one you haven't read.

I kinda wish it just was red, but not blinking. It makes me want to seize.

I haven't tried hitting esc yet... does that work? I just click on it as soon as I see it to get it off as quickly as possible, even if I don't feel like reading pms at the time.
