sharing photos

Dear Techies,
I finally have a digital camera, and it was pretty easy loading the software and downloading the pics to my PC. Now - how do I share them? I usually use webshots, and I also would use the gallery here. The gallery here is temporarily down, and since I don't have DSL yet, downloading to webshots or any other website (I don't have one, but....) takes years. Is there an easy way to share photos from my hard drive here at EA and via e-mail without getting a photo URL?

Eye, I believe the gallery still works fine. It's just not linked.
