| | I don't know what to call this but it involves Jesse Jackson | | Jesse Jackson has announced that he is organizing a boycott against Toyota http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,31187,00.html
in part becuase they don't have enough non=white representation... (okay he said brown or black owned.)
Hmmmm, Toyota's owned by Japanese. So I bet most of the top level jobs are held by Asians..... it's the lower level jobs like store owners that are held by non-minority people....

| | I would like to see what Toyota's numbers would look like if 'American' standards were compared.. ie, the percentage of minorities employeed in coorlation to the percentage of minorities of their country.. I bet Toyota would fall in line...
At that.. I bet so called 'White European' people are a minority in Japan.. I wonder if Jessie will stand up for their rights?

| | Our buddy Jesse has been long-known for engaging in deceitful tactics. He'll often organize a boycott against a corporation if it won't donate significant funds to his Rainbow/PUSH coalition.
My guess is that, as was mentioned above, Toyota is probably flux with Asian employees as well as employees of a variety of other races.
I'd call it extortion.

| | Jesse got a couple of lucrative beer distributorships for his kids when he strongarmed a major beer company about minority representation. Maybe he has another relative who wants a Toyota dealership.
Martin Luther King he ain't.
Martin had a dream; Jesse always seems to have a scheme.

| | I can't imagine that Toyota cares what color you are as long as your money is green.
Discrimination would just be stupid. |

| | Here is Toyota's response found on their website.
I have no idea what it takes to be a dealer for Toyota, but it doesnt sound like all too many new dealerships are opening.

| | I was so afraid I was going to be the only one to see this as absurd.
Any one else want to pull IS and we can go buy a Toyota?

| | I would like to know exactly what a . "30-year monopolistic dynasty" is and why Jesse Jackson thinks what I deem as the most successful ad agency in the world is such a thing.
Could it be Mr Rainbow has a problem with the fact that Saatchi & Saatchi are Jewish?
Elyzabeth
Who is trying to figure out why two men of "color" -- middle eastern born Jews -- don't fit into Jesse's "brown" palet.

| | I am trying to figure out what is so bad about the boyfriend ad on the toyota page I listed. I actually thought it was quite funny. As a female consumer, I think it's hilarious - and so did my husband.

Jackson is part of the problem, not part of the solution. I've been saying that for years.
