Appropriate Ways to React to Someone Else's Review | | This morning I posted a review of the ****subtitles "******" It was a negative review that pointed out several positive features about the device.
A few days ago someone had written a positive review called "******" It was a reasonable review but was missing a lot of stuff in my opinion and I rated it helpful and left a comment explaining what I thought was missing. The comment has since disappeared.
I just logged back in and noticed he had revenge rated me. I also happened to look down at the bottom of my review and saw that he had changed the title of his review. He also made some other changes that were obviously pokes at my review (well, knowing the changes it was obvious, it is less obvious as an initital read now).
I can live with the changes within the review because they are only obvious jabs at me if you had read the old version. I am upset about the title because his review is dated first (even though it is marked updated today) and it looks like I stole his title and wrote in reply to him. I did nothing of the sort, and close reading would make that obvious, but it still bothers me. By the way, his new review is better than the old one if you ignore the pokes. Maybe I should just be happy my review served to improve his.
Boy, this really burns me.
Thanks for letting me rant.
Janice ***Sorry Janice. We don't want to discourage the rant, but you put in a tad too much detail to point right at the person you have a problem with. So, I edited it (as little as possible to keep your meaning). (MR)
