Losing my cookies

...so my mouse goes wandering around the page and happens to click onto a blank area on the screen.

What happens?

Poof. I get sent to a page that says "all cookies have been cleared".

This has happened to me at least 3 times.

Is there a phantom link embedded somewhere?

Sara

Re: Losing my cookies

Interesting.

I found the phantom links!

They are directly under the top banner with the directory hierarchy on whichever page you're looking at. Run your mouse underneath it and you wind up highlighting the links that are to the far right of the page.

Word to the wise. Don't let you mice run around unsupervised.

Re: Losing my cookies

Quite possible.

I'm on IE 5.1 on Mac OSX

I'll have to remember to check and see if I can replicate it at home on the PC.

You mean screwing up my login is a privilege?

Re: Losing my cookies

Wait a minute. The links to the far right of the page in the navbar section? Those aren't phantom links! They are in black and are there for anyone to see and click on.

Re: Losing my cookies

Move over to the left side and I'm getting a mouseover that replicates the links on the right side.

Now that you've centered the links though the position of the phantoms has changed too.

Re: Losing my cookies

It seems to be a Mac idiosyncracy. It does it at the office, but not at home.

Weird.
