Re: debug mode is on for a little while

I'll try posting again. I had posted and it looked like it took but it must not have.

The only bug was ME. I'd posted in the other thread not this one. Sorry.

Re: debug mode is on for a little while

Amy,

Just so you know, this is what is appearing at the top of my screen in EA now:

Quote:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mail() in /home/virtual/site3/fst/var/www/html/forums/includes/functions.php on line 556
HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Tue, 09 Dec 2003 00:08:44 GMT Server: Apache/1.3.27 (Unix) (Red-Hat/Linux) mod_perl/1.26 PHP/4.3.4 FrontPage/5.0.2 mod_ssl/2.8.12 OpenSSL/0.9.6b X-Powered-By: PHP/4.3.4 Expires: Mon, 26 Jul 1997 05:00:00 GMT Last-Modified: Tue, 09 Dec 2003 00:08:44 GMT Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate Cache-Control: post-check=0, pre-check=0 Pragma: no-cache ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~: ~~~~~ Keep-Alive: timeout=15, max=98 Connection: Keep-Alive Content-Type: text/html 326
No clue in hell what any of that means, but my guess is that you might.

Re: debug mode is on for a little while

I'm only getting weird stuff if I click on the new posts arrow on an individual thread, on the "New Posts" page. I can click on a thread just fine, even click on "go to first unread" once I get there, but the arrow gives me an error page.

Re: debug mode is on for a little while

Sluggish?

Almost dead is more like it.

I've got a really fast cable connection that zips through every site...except EA. I constantly time out here. Half the time, I can't even get here because it just won't load.

This has been happening to me for the last few days. Anyone else having the problem?

Rich

Re: debug mode is on for a little while

Rich, the pages are loading in about a third of a second on every computer I have tested according to the stats that debug is showing.

Jeff, you'll need to read the other getting around threads about the mail error. It's a known problem on the server side that is taking some time to correct.

Re: debug mode is on for a little while

Seriously Amy. It's really bad. I'm having major problems both at home and at the office.

Time outs galore.

Re: debug mode is on for a little while

I'm having problems, too. It is hard to get certain threads to load and the ones that do load take forever. I also have a message in my status bar - "Editor initialized for Internet Explorer in 0.501 seconds" if that means anything.

Re: debug mode is on for a little while

I nearly didn't get in earlier today. I got the front page to load, but none of the links worked. I finally got in through Amy's gallbladder thread, which was on the front page.

I've been getting the "editor initialized" message for several weeks now. I have to admit to curiosity about what it means!

I can post text but had no luck trying to attach a .png file (sorry, didn’t save the error message).

Re: debug mode is on for a little while

GRRR.

twice now I typed up these terrific responses to threads only to get a Cannot Find Server error message. Then when I click "refresh," I get the Sorry, this thread isn't accepting any more posts" message.
