I delivered Aurora Joy ("Rory") on August 14, 2004 at 8:33pm, a week before her due date. She weighed 6 pounds and was 19 3/4 inches at birth.
After being in labor for many, many hours and not finding it that challenging, we almost didn't make it to the hospital in time (when the real pain kicked in). My water broke in the car and I was begging for the drugs by the time we arrived, but said it was too late and we were going au naturel. The doctor arrived just at crunch time and helped Rory out with a little suction.
She is quite healthy and we're both doing fine and are now home.

My daughter, who plans on being Aurora (aka Sleeping Beauty) for Halloween, most definitely approves. And I love the middle name Joy!
