Where did the petz food go?

My poor spider is hungry already (wow, that happened fast -- she was only born yesterday), so I went looking for some food, and all I could find in the store was a way to flip my username around. My spider turned up her nose at that.

P.S. Am I understanding correctly that I get more money for starting threads than for adding posts to existing ones? If so, wouldn't that encourage unscrupulous people like me, when they need to get more cash quick for petzfood, to start threads like this one, rather than adding a post to an existing thread on the topic, thus causing server bloat and board clutter?

Unless you need LOTS of Petz food, I don’t think there’d be a problem. Virtual food for a virtual pet probably isn’t an overpowering incentive. Now if Amy starts handing out cold hard cash (Earn a portrait of Andrew Jackson from The United States Treasury Bureau of Engraving and Printing for every thread you start!), we might have a problem.
