This is one that I converted for use with vbulletin all by myself. It MAY have issues.
Here's how it works:
If you guess the word, and play again, your score increments UNTIL you either lose or subit your score.
The second you lose, your score is set to 0.
So, part of the game is knowing when to gamble and hit that submit button.

I think that's a "bug". If I tie the existing high score, I should be in 2nd place - I shouldn't take over as champ. Bridgette - you still have high score in my book. |

Actually, she does have it now. But it's not a bug. You did it faster, wormy. That's why you became the champ. Then Redlass did it faster than you did and took it back.

I think it does have some issues:
First off, there was no indication of how many letters were in the word. But, I refused to let that daunt me. I tried selecting some letters to see what happened.
Here are the letters I tried:
A, E, I, O, U, Y
I got hung.
Then I was told that the correct word was ___________.
Knowing that you coded it, I would think that it's just your sense of humor at work. But I'll just chalk it up to the fact that you didn't have another Mac beta tester.

Sara, did you open it at all before I cleared it? That was some of the original behavior before it opened the words file.
Go to you Temporary Internet Files folder and delete hangman.swf. Close your browser, and then try again.

Yep. Played (or tried to) on a Mac. Haven't tried on a PC yet.

OK. Try on the PC please. It's failing for you in that it's not opening the file with the words in it.

Speaking of hangman - I ahven't seen the game in a few days. I see "Word Games - 2" but only the Typing one shows when I go to the Word Games link. Bizarre |

I turned it off until I have more time to play with it and test it. Now that I have a mac, I should be able to tinker with it more and see what is going on.
