Smilies in replies?

Hmmm...

It seems as though the smilies in replies deal has been nixed. Meaning I can't see the choices of smilies when I reply to a message... I see now that I can do it when starting a thread but I can't when replying to things...

Re: Smilies in replies?

That’s true only if you use the “quick reply” option. If you do a regular reply, you still have all of the smiley options. And even from the quick reply option, smilies will work, but you have to have the vB code for a particular smiley memorized.

Re: Smilies in replies?

You can't see them in quick reply, but if you know them you can type them in. If you want to see the smilie menu - hit "post reply" instead of using the "quick reply" box. They're still there and usable!

Re: Smilies in replies?

Another thing you can do is type in a few characters, get your message started, then hit the "go advanced" button.

I have the basic ones memorized, but then, I post several times a day here, too. But I rarely use anything beyond the basic ones.
