For some reason, our database has been having problems, which may result in a loss of all threads and posts. That is the worst case scenario, and I am trying to prevent it.
If there are any special threads you want to save info from, I suggest that you print them or save them to your hard drive. I don't think we are going to lose our data, but if I can't stop the database from repeatedly crashing, purging the threads is a last resort.

It depends on whether or not the database is a minor. |

Amy - with thanksgiving around the corner you must be mad busy. I am in awe of the amount of time you spend maintaining this site to begin with, and that you're spending time on it on Thanksgiving Eve... wow. Just WOW.

Oops. I think I broke it.
I added a reply to http://www.eaforums.com/forums/water-cooler/36569-hofftot-needs-you.html (HOFFTOT Needs YOU!!!) that included a link to a NYTimes article with a link caption and a quote from the NYTimes article. I think I blew the board's circuits having all that in one post 'cause now it won't load the whole thread if you click either the thread title or the "last post" link

It looks ok to me, MJ. And the post table isn't throwing errors just this moment. Everybody cross your fingers that it's going to stay stable.

We survived the night!
Actually, our host is awesome. He worked pretty hard with me at all hours of the day and night to help get this fixed.
