| | We're heading off to Atlanta tomorrow morning for a short vacation. It'll be our first air flight with The Poopster -- thanks again to the many "A Kiddley Divey"-ites who offered VH advice.
Try not to start any threads that I'd regret missing out on while I'm away, ok? |

| | Hmmm.. an epinion about DragonCon? We'll see.
Poopster's in bed; bags are packed; we leave in the morning. Signing off 'til next week. Don't post anything I wouldn't. |

| | Just dropping in to say:
We're back. Flights went fine. The flight out was perfect: Poopster slept from taxiing out to taxiing in, completely missing the in-air portion of the trip. The flight back was not quite as great: after a flight with many mood swings only partially ameliorated by many games of peek-a-boo and other diversions, he fell asleep minutes after we touched down in NY, only to be unhappily woken up shortly thereafter as we deplaned.
All in all, though, the flights were a success. Thanks again for all the tips.
I see you all kept talking (and talking and ...) while I was gone. I'm going to be swamped at work for a bit, so don't be surprised if my attendance here (and at the mother site) is a bit spotty. But I did want to drop in to say hi.
And, yes -- we've got pictures of The Poopster with all sorts of interestingly clad folks at the sci-fi convention. I'll post one or two after I've dug myself out a bit.
(I'm still working my way through email & PM -- apologies to those I'm late responding to.) |

| | Ok, guys, I'm going to try out that nifty new "Hidden" feature to post a few pictures from DragonCon without shoving them in the face of anyone who happens to stumble in here.
Head on over to the next post .... |

| | Ok, here we are!
Here's the "before" picture. Things looked pretty much like this from taxiing out at LaGuardia right up until taxiing in at Atlanta!
And here's a "during" picture. Poopster was fascinated by the storm troopers, but suddenly terrified when I stepped back enough to take a picture -- he's reaching out for me in utter terror:
Here's a picture of some of the PG-rated costumed folks (some of the costumes were, um, somewhat skimpier):
And here's a happy Poopster back at home (in his Kolcraft Umbrella Stroller, which I reviewed, she said in a crass commercial plug):
You may now all feel free to say "Awwwwww!" |

| | Yeah, he's a cutie all right.
No, none of the three of us had costumes, though we very, very briefly flirted with the idea of making one for the Poopster.
The thing is that people at DragonCon are really serious about this costume stuff -- it's got to be handmade and high quality. And neither my husband nor I is the least bit creative when it comes to this sort of stuff.
Also, I'm not much of an exhibitionist by nature.
btw, this article from The Onion on DragonCon is a hoot. | |
