Search Engine Changes

You now have the ability to use boolean searches on the forums.

If you go to advanced search, and select boolean, you can do searches for stuff like Sara AND potato to find every post discussing Sara's strange obsession with potatos.

You can also search for pumpkin OR pecan to find any yummy pie recipies.

Finally, you could search for turkey NOT tofu to avoid any icky bean curd substitutes.

NOTE: Words have to be 4 or more letters long, but there is a trick. If you want to search for pie, try looking up pie*

The old way of searching still works. This just adds a bit more power to the search capabilites.

Amy

taurusmoon will become famous soon enough
Re:(1)Search Engine Changes

I am NOT obsessed with potatos.

Just mildly intrigued.

Yippie! thanks, Amy!!!
So - we need to write this AND that.
do we need to use quotes, or commas or anything.
Cool, cool, very cool.

And from my observations, Sara is unusually interested in potatoes!

You may need to use quotes. No commas are needed. Also, you don't HAVE to use AND, OR, or NOT. You may still use the natural language search options as before.
