Just wrap it around a piece of text that you want to be hidden. Like this, without the spaces:

You can either click the spoiler button at the top and then insert the text, or type out the text, highlight it and then click the button to wrap the tags around it.
It's only on the advanced menu, and if you mouseover each button for a second or two, it should tell you what each one is, so you don't have to click and click and click.
