Wish me luck! About to married and out of a job!

Well, I told my bosses about my month long wedding/honeymoon in Hawaii next month, (right after my yearly performance review, of all times) and we agreed that It would be best if I pursued my other options rather then return to work there. So, my last day will be Monday or Tuesday and come November, when we return from Hawaii, I will be married and unemployed. (Can you say 'kept man'?)

I'm really excited about the changes, but a little nervous too. Marie and I have been together for a decade and a year, but marriage is..well different. As far as the job, it was time to get out of there, but I'll miss the income while I figure out what I'm doing next.

Lotsa changes. Wish me luck.

Rob

"Luck!"

There are many times over the past 2+ decades that my husband & I wished that we were released to 'persue other options'. This might be the best thing that's ever happened to you since you are no longer tied down to any one locale.

Next Spring we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary. It hasn't always been easy, but it's always been worth it.

Good luck and best wishes.

Pam

It sounds like you're in for quite a month!

Don't panic about the job thing. At least you don't have a mountain of work awaiting your return.

Luck!

You got some great clips and writing experience out of that job. That should make it easier to find something different when you get back. You and Marie have gone through the single income bit before, so it will hopefully be less stressful. And what a great way to adjust to married life!

You know how I can gush on about the wonderful state of marriage, so I'll try to keep a rein on it, but I'm really happy for both of you. I hope you both find new joys every day of your married life.

I'm the same way....I can gush. Marriage is a wonderful, wonderful thing. Hardest thing you will ever do, but a wonderful thing.

So, a great amount of luck is wished your way. A month adventure wedding/honeymoon! That's worth quitting a job for!

to you and Marie.

Andrea
