Ever since the first day of school, I knew my class would be a challenging one. They seem to care little for authority or each other. But today, they impressed me.
We had a class meeting to discuss the events. When the discussion turned to what people were doing to help out, they came up with the idea to do a fund drive. They worked out all the details, okayed it with the principal, and made signs to publicize it. So my class is doing an all-school money collection for victims of the tragedy! It's things like that that give me hope for the future.
