Talking Moms of twins.... Help please.

My friend is in her 30th week with twins (one boy, on girl) & could REALLY use some of your best advice about what equipment was really helpful/useful, and any other suggestions and tips you might be willing to provide. Do you have time to share your best secrets & tips? I would really appreciate it.

Also.... What were some of your FAVORITE shower/baby gifts? I have her shower coming up. I am planning to get one of her high chairs (unless someone else beats me to it), but my mom also needs to buy a gift.

THANK YOU!
Susan

LOL, Susan, she is going to be a very busy mom. A friend of mine (with six kids already) had an unexpected pregnancy 3 years ago and had twins. Several of us got together and gave her maid service once a week for the first two months. We also stocked her freezer and showed up on a regular schedule to take care of the older kids (she also homeschooled) so that she could rest with the babies. I gave her crib sheets - readymade were expensive so I bought cute fabric (flame retardent) and made about a dozen or so. Cases of diapers from Costco also came in handy.

Does she have kids already or is she starting from ground zero?

Deb

Moms of twins

Deb, these are their first babies. I actually convinced my mother to split the Graco Duo Glider with me. But she (the mom) & I were actually discussing maid service last night. What a great gift idea! So were your others.

Would you mind asking your friend what one tip/trick she thinks is the most helpful for taking care of newborn twins? My friend & her husband are really starting to become worried. I wish she lived closer to me...

Thanks for the response.
Susan

Two babysitters!

My daughters spent a couple of summers (during college) as semi-live-in helpers for one of their professor's infant/toddler twins. They as well as Mom were grateful to have two of them.

Might be hard to arrange, but worth thinking about.

Twins

Thanks, that is a great idea. Unfortunately, not sure if we can find anyone since school is in session.

Thank you!
Susan
