| | | Bert is Evil has got to be one of the oldest and funniest fake photo sites out there on the Net. When I saw the Wandering Tourist picture I figured it for a fake and wondered how long it would be before he got around just like Bert did.
This also demonstrates the follow of "Be First, Not Right" media outlets who rush materials from source to public live and at hyper-reality speed without checking to make sure that it's either not newsworthy or tainted with a hidden message. Too many rumors and bad facts and speculations and hype are being bandied about in this storm of fear and loathing hanging over the globe right now like a pall. |

| | Here's a thought. Bert is on a poster that is a picture of Ben Laden. Sesame Street is on television in Egypt. It probably is in Afghanistan too. Bert isn't in the crowd, he's in the picture that is in the crowd.
Who knows.

| | From t he article and from the collage itself, it seems clear that whoever made the collage grabbed the doctored "Evil Bert" picture and used it as part of the collage. Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but it looks that simple.
"Bert is evil" sure brings back memories...

| | Now, wait a minute. I'm still dealing with the possibility that Bert and Ernie are more than just casual roommates. Now your telling me my favorite paperclip collecting, pigeon loving Bert is evil?
You're sounding like Telly Monster to me, folks. Just a tad paranoid.
Now, if you said Baby Bear was evil -- I'd be more up to the discussion.

| | I'm not sure if Sesame Street is on television in Afghanistan (I don't believe there is much by way of television in Afghanistan).
But I heard the rumours about Bert and Ernie decades ago. Poor Ernie, what he has to put up with in all of this... |

| | My husband is convinced that Bert and Ernie are in an assisted living arrangement. His point is that Ernie isn't very bright and Bert has useless arms. So Bert helps out with the mental tasks and Ernie does all the motor skill tasks.

| | I can see the conspiricy theorists going nuts over this one.. how the our children are being brainwashed.. etc... etc...
The secret messages are not in the press announcments by Ben Ladin and the Taliban.. they are in Sesame Street... |

| | They showed that crowd with that poster on late news last night here in Russia. It was not a still, they were walking and all. I dunno, it's not like I tend to believe everything I see in Russia, but that was the only news channel I trust in this country.
