It's Grouch Day, everyone!
I just heard it on the radio: We are supposed to embrace a Grouch in our lives. Me, I'm planning on calling my father who is a grouch, but I also want to salute our own Grouch, who writes reviews like nobody's business, is the Ebert/Kael of Epinions, and is nobody's weakest link.
Now go hug your grouch today.
Well, then you better reach out and hug me, because TODAY, I am a grouch!

I had no idea.
I went through this entire day wondering why all those women were throwing themselves at me. Was it the aftershave? The goofy smile? The fuzzy little hairs sprouting from my ears?
But then men starting running up and hugging me, too.
However, I only became alarmed when I came home and my two cats displayed a surprising lack of disdain toward me. They were almost--almost, mind you--civil to me.
"What's going on here?" thinks I.
Thank goodness Jennifer G. had the answer.
I wish I'd known. I would have sent myself a card.
