Epinions : a trend?

Do you believe that the current state of epinion is a continuous trend that pretty much shows no hope? Or, do you believe that epinion wants to cut their cost for the next 6 months so that they will have time to rebuild the company, than they will again raise the payout?

With that said, do you believe that the faithful writers, even though they may be writing for free right now, may reap the benefits in the long term?

I'm sad to say that I don't believe in a few months they will readjust payments UP.

Once businesses do this, there is no reason to go back up, when the people who are still there apparently "don't care, because they are still there".

I would certainly love to see it back in the days where review hits gave .03 for member views, and then the income share was frosting on the cake!

(Now, as it is, I would just be happy seeing them (epinions) resinstate my reading/rating benefit for people. I'd like it to show as a member hit and give them the .01 that I created by stopping by. I am still a consumer, interested in reviews of products, and my opinion should count for something!)

I'm afraid I must concur with the growing majority here

There will be no reason for Epinions, who never seemed to care that much about quality of writing, to pay if people are still writing.

That's why, except for the duty-dances to which I'm already committed, I won't be contributing anything more other than revisions.
