Man Held for Hiding Knife in Shoe

Man Held for Hiding Knife in Shoe

I rather liked this quote:

Quote:
``He did not appear to be a threat to anybody. It looks like it may have been an act of being stupid,'' said Phil Orlandella, a spokesman for the Massachusetts Port Authority.

Oh, gosh, so THAT's what was in my shoe! It must have slipped in there at the Sizzler.

I thought it was a pebble but I didn't want to be rude and take off my shoes in public.

At least it sliced off that nasty case of foot fungus.

Toss him in a jail cell and conveniently forget he's there, just like he apparently conveniently forgot about the knife in his shoe.

When people start to realize that forgetting and being stupid is no longer an excuse and is a liability, you'll be amazed how many people will start to take time to think and do things more carefully instead of badly and quickly. It'll weed out those folks just looking for an excuse from the truly stupid and careless ones.

Ashcroft hasn't made being stupid a crime yet because he'd probably be the first one arrested and convicted, just right before his boss gets hauled away. *shrug*

But that'll put me (an insurance adjustor) out of a job. I deal with stupid things people do all day long.
