My father rang late this morning to tell me my mother is in the hospital. She has double pneumonia. She had a bad reaction to a steroid treatment which raised her heart-rate dramatically, and was in ICU for a few days. She's back in a 'regular' bed.
Pray for me and my family.  |

Oh my. It seems you are being tested.
So sorry to hear the latest. But, at least the fact that your mother has been moved out of ICU is encouraging.
Please (and I know this is next to impossible) take care of yourself. The stress that you are under right now is beyond belief. Don't be ashamed to reach out for help from those around you. Even a counselor needs counselling sometimes.
Don't try to get through this alone.

I feel absolutely horribly for you and the horrible events that have transpired in your world lately. I'm glad to hear that your mother is out of the ICU. I hope that she recovers fully and that you find employment very soon!

Fr. Kurt, prayers and thoughts are with you from Iowa....you have been through a number of trials lately, and while I know you are strong, don't forget you have friends to help you through troubled times.

Good to hear that your mom is out of ICU, though. They don't keep you there long any more, though. Are your parents very far from you?

Update: My mother, in Florida, is probably going to be released from the hospital by this weekend.
It was found that she has recently had a heart attack, but it has not yet been determined when she had it. She will continue to see a cardiologist when she is released from in-patient status.
