question about recalls-who do you report them to??

Who would you report a potentialy dangerouse appliance to? I've already called the company that makes it and got blown off more or less-but who can you call/write to with concerens about how something is built being a potential saftey hazard?

This is about a GE dryer-that you have to TAKE apart the lint trap area with a SCREWDRIVER to get it fully cleaned-small fire hazard plus I've got some nasty scratches on my arms from trying to clean out the lint trap. UGG

Write Consumers Union (the people who put out Consumers' Report) -- they are non-profit and specialize in nagging companies until they do what's right.

Joubert is on a distinguished road

CU is certainly one place to go to, but I would go straight to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. A link from the main page takes you to a series of pages called "Report An Unsafe Product"

Your old music cannot sustain you through a life, not if you're someone who listens to music every day, at every opportunity. You need input, because pop music is about freshness, about Nelly Furtado and the maddeningly memorable fourth track on a first album by a band you saw on a late-night TV show. And no, that fourth track is not as good as anything on Pet Sounds or Blonde on Blonde or What's Going On, but when was the last time you played Pet Sounds? - Songbook by Nick Hornby
