Here's an awful, what-is-the-world-coming-to kind of story that happened last week here in an Atlanta suburb.

Apparently this guy just walked right into an elementary school, saw a girl walking out of the library, and hit her on the head with the claw of a hammer. It was lodged in her head-- she subsequently had to have immediate surgery where they had to remove part of her brain.
Just a completely random attack.
The good news (if there is any) is that her condition, as of this morning, has been upgraded to good, and I think she is expected to be okay.
This kind of story just really makes me not want to have kids, you know?
