Re The Customer is NOT Always Right

Wow. It's eerie. I swear I don't remember writing that article.

I have to keep giving the supes pep talks when they get down. I remind them that we want to focus on helping the nice people, because the nice people are MUCH more likely to have friends we want to have visit with us.

I think the Ritz has absolutely the best policy ever: "Ladies and gentlemen, serving ladies and gentlemen."

And I tell you, I am MORTIFIED with some of the things that people feel it is apropriate to say to someone who is in customer service. So help me, I hope god incarnate comes and strikes me down DEAD before I ever treat another human being that way, regardless of who they are or what they do for a living.

Re The Customer is NOT Always Right

I definitely think that there are some people who are always going to be unhappy and you can't EVER please them. I've also dealt with some absolute GITS however, who shouldn't ever have been hired. Like the one who was at the ticket counter when we were flying back fromTexas after G's grandma's funeral. Who insisted that even though we had tickets, we were going to be bumped because she couldn't POSSIBLY ask someone who already had a window seat to move to another seat so that Beanie and her car seat could be in the seat that the FAA required by law that she be in.

Re The Customer is NOT Always Right

Dead on.

Around here, when we get tight on inventory, we tend to take less crap from customers. Can always resell a server to someone who isn't a clueless moron.

When the inventory is heavy and Sales doesn't want to lose their commissions for selling to retards, they tend to squeeze us for additional assistance that's not in the contract.
