They're considered to be one of the top companies to work for with awesome perks. Definitely worth looking in to!

Go for it Lynn! I've heard they are AWESOME.
Although, the "eat anything you want, any time you want" might be a problem....  (If they do it in Iowa, too, that is.)

And thanks for that link, Erik. They are building a data center, but I'm sure there will at least be a few non-tech jobs. I'll peruse the NYC ones a little closer to get some ideas.

They had a site set up with photos from the city and FAQs this afternoon. Interviews on the radio and TV with big whigs from Google. There are going to be a zillion resumes going there, they hire for the really senior positions first, so more positions will be posted in the upcoming weeks.
It's exciting, no matter the outcome!

Honestly? You couldn't pay me enough to go work there. G has interviewed with them twice and each time I've breathed a sigh of relief when they went with someone else.
The perks are there so you have no reason to leave the office. The hours are killer. And there is something creepy and Big Brotherish about them. | |
