| | I am a member of linkedin. Now that I had a few extra minutes to get the details...I thought I would stop by and start a thread.
I am not looking, but thought that I might be able to connect with others here that would like to be added in as a connection.
I guess, PM me and I can send you the link.
I don't know, but I think that would be the easiest.

| | Re Another LinkedIn thread | | I sent you an invite.
And, it is only easy to add by a link if someone has a direct connection to you -- the way I was able to do it is that we're both listed with Epinions/EA Forums. If someone is not, they need to know one of your e-mail addresses to send you an invite.

| | Re Another LinkedIn thread | | Most of the people that I've added I either knew their email, or I saw them through a mutual connection, or a job/school/etc we had in common and I sent them an invite through the site.
What happens if I give out my link and they don't know my email address? |

| | Re Another LinkedIn thread | | As long as you have something in common, it should be fine... you can click that. However, I tried to send a "add to my connections" to someone and add that person as a friend, and it wouldn't let me without the email. |

| | Re Another LinkedIn thread | | Yep, that becomes the problem. I've come across some that I know were long-ago friends, tried to connect but couldn't because I didn't have a "commonality" with them and didn't know their e-mail address. |

| | Re Another LinkedIn thread | | Actually... when you select a "commonality" with them, it's pulling from YOUR list.
Like... You want to connect to Bob. You know Bob but you don't know his email and you have no common job or group. Just pretend you worked with Bob for the purpose of LinkedIn. Then select one of the places on the list (it's your list of jobs). I'm sure it tells Bob that you think you worked with him at that company, but, if Bob really does know you and would value your connection, he probably will accept your invite anyway. |

| | Re Another LinkedIn thread | | Hmmm... wasn't aware of that. I did know that it pulled from MY list, but thought it required THEIR list as well. Thanks for the info! | | |
