I wish programmers and websites had this...

much creativity here in the US.

HEMA is a Dutch department store. The first store opened on November 4, 1926, inAmsterdam . Now there are 150 stores all over the Netherlands . HEMA also has stores in Belgium, Luxemburg, and Germany . In June of this year, HEMA was sold to British investment company Lion Capital.

Take a look at HEMA's product page . You can't order anything and it's in Dutch but just wait a couple of seconds and watch what happe ns.
This company has a sense of humor and a great computer programmer.

HEMA - online winkelen

Re I wish programmers and websites had this...

I can I can tell you there is a darn good reason why you don't see sites like that... imagine seeing that EVERY SINGLE TIME you went to that store's online page. Cute the first time, but annoying after the first time. Not to mention that the page load time is SO long that most folks will click away and not wait for it to load in order to do their shopping.

Cute... reminds me of a Honda on-line commercial I saw last year.

Re I wish programmers and websites had this...

I love it!

But at the same time I was watching it, I was talking to a Belgian friend online. He assures me that the site is annoying and their stuff is crap. I reminded him that all European stores are crap, like Ikea and H&M and you know what you are buying when you shop there... he said it's even worse crap than those stores.

I like to buy crap sometimes. That store looks like fun! I was really excited by that link.

I can agree that having this site load like this all of the time would be annoying.

But, I did think it was cute!
