... is infringing on a trademark, apparently. At least, that's what two companies are saying about each other:

Their dispute sounds a little silly to me. As the story points out, the word geek has been around for a while, and it's not as if it's a brand name.

Geek Squad and Geek Housecalls are alike only to people who cannot read. The suit should be tossed out, just as it would be if the Bush Administration tried claiming that White Castle violates its rights to White House.

Trying to claim rights to "geek" is as indefensible as Donald Trump's trying to trademark "You're fired."
