Anyone use this (free) service to track sites that link in to yours? I just discovered it, signed up, and it's very interesting. Also found (through another source) someone who had linked back to me, and dropped them a note thanking them...they replied that they'd found my link to them via Technorati.

It's pretty cool. You can also tag your blog posts so that they'll show up in Technorati's category pages. |

Well it's not SEO this time. 
It's a way of making what are essentially keywords in a blog. Then, one of these sites can use those tags and say, "Click here to read about Beading" or whatever. That may be overly simplistic, but it's the gist. |

See, now I wasn't using it for my blog, George. Call me blonde, but I just put a couple of my web sites on the watch list to see who is linking in to them. The blog thing looked too complicated (involved CODING  ) and therefore I just glossed over it.

You can use it for sites too, but it got its start on blogs. I need to shoot you a couple of other things for your blog. I also need to get in there and put in a "Subscribe to this blog" piece of code. That way, your regular readers will get an email with a link when you post. |

Anything can be a blog if it's done right  I've tinkered with our front page to make it more bloggy - I pull out stuff that I think people will find interesting or newsworthy and I now can tag it

Pippa, c'mon -- throw some clear colored tags there and write today's stuff as RSS.
I actually don't like tags for the blogs either. I was experimenting. |
