Using Google Alerts

I have just started using google alerts.

I have a question and thought you might know out here. Is there a way to set up an alert for all or part of your epinions reviews so that it will scan for it and alert you if it is used by someone on their web or reposted by someone else (stealing your review) at all?

Thanks for your time and help!

Re Using Google Alerts

Hmm, hadn't thought to try that. I would think you could probably include a phrase in quotations, so that it knows to look for *exactly* that, just as you would with a regular search. I bet there's a # of words limitation, though. You'd probably want to use two or three phrases from each Epinion you want to keep tabs on, just to be sure.

Re Using Google Alerts

I have been getting a lot of hits recently (on google alerts) showing my reviews for movies, music, etc on EBAY. Do you know if we get any credit at all for these reviews?

They don't actually "link" to Epinions, but rather they have our review on Ebay with credit to us on the Epinions site, so no one can actually click on our user profiles or other reviews at all.

I was just curious.

Thanks!

Re Using Google Alerts

Sounds like a question for the Epinions forum here at the board.
