A Repeat

I know that we've discussed this before but wanted to know which picture site is best for downloading your stuff to. Free? How much space? Can hard copy pictures be purchased through the site? Can you easily (I'm computer dumb) transfer your pictures to this site and can you easily organize them? Do you trust that if your hard drive crashes on your pc/laptop that the pictures are secure in this place we are talking about?

I know the Kodak name but the rest are unknowns to me.
Thanks!

Re A Repeat

I like Flickr - they're part of yahoo and its very easy to use.
I would love to like Picassa best because it's google, but it's still a bit cumbersome to use. I was playing with it today, and while it has some great features, I find Flickr to be much easier.

Re A Repeat

We use Shutterfly for Bob's photo business as well as our personal photos and the Scout troop. It's Mac compatible, easy to use, and has many useful functions for sizing images once they're uploaded and yes, I trust them to keep the images safe.

You can order hard-copy prints, CD's with images, photo books and lots more from the web site.

I've seen other pro web-hosting sites that I like better, but some aren't Mac compatible and others are just too expensive for the volume of business we do. Also, it's convenient to have all three sets of photos in the same place. I'm keeping an eye out for better options for the business photos, but I won't move the scout troop or our personal photos.

Re A Repeat

Thanks all...I'm going to check them out. I think that the people at work mentioned Flickr too but Shutterfly looks good too. I remember the picasso talk...too bad it's harder to use.

Re A Repeat

The one good thing I like about Flickr is that if I right-click on a pic on my computer, it gives me the option to send it straight to Flickr.
