Re Turn off laptop keyboard?

If I recall correctly (it's been ages since the laptop), you should be able to plug in the keyboard, and the next time the computer is booted up, run with the new keyboard.

Re Turn off laptop keyboard?

The new keyboard works with it, but both were being recognized. I think someone spilled something in the keyboard, and so some things were stuck. I looked online and couldn't find anything about disabling the laptop keyboard.

And at any rate, the whole thing went kaput a couple hours later anyway.

Re Turn off laptop keyboard?

It's a VAIO, and if DH can get it running again, I'll be sure to point him in that direction. He's looking for another one that he can tear into and get a new keyboard and battery, but I'd like to be able to use it in the meantime. You see what the results were this morning!
