| | Tracking Santa on the Net | | For anyone who might be interested, Santa is on the move and you can see streaming video, read interesting facts or just look at where Santa has been and is due to show up by clicking here: Norad Tracks Santa Website 2001
The site is offered in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian. Make sure to log in ahead of time as the site occasionally bogs down with the heavy loads.
Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus ...
Happy holidays all ... Shannon

| | This is great! I wonder if all the elves, reindeer, and packages have been scanned according to the new, tougher FAA standards? Otherwise, it might need an F-15 fighter escort...

| | Thanks, Shannon! I knew this site would be out there again this year, but hadn't hunted down the address yet! |

| | Thanks for the link.
I spent about twenty minutes there and had a great time.
I tried to convince my two teens to come over to the computer and check it out, but all I got was the old "Dad is really weird" look.
I just love this stuff. I guess it's part nostalgia and part being really into the spirit of Christmas. Plus I'm still a little boy at heart who wishes there really was a Santa Claus just for the pure and beautiful magic of it.

| | | I hate these Santa tracking things. I hate it worse when TV stations put happy little santa icons on their radar displays for the kiddies. I swapped out the Satnta icon with a flaming pile of wreckage one year, but the weather guy caught it in preview mode. |

| | Last night we were having a hard time dragging Jer away from his Legos (they're EVERYWHERE!) to go to bed...so I brought up the old Santa Cam.
He was in Canada, directly north of Iowa. I yelled "Oh MY! Look where Santa is!" Jer took one quick glance, and you never saw a child scramble off to bed, get kisses (a ritual he never misses...7 kisses each for Mom and Dad - one for each "year" he is), and fall asleep so quickly.
Out like a light.
He-he...wish I could use it every night!

I fill a tiny stuffed Satnta with catnip and they tear it to bits to get the catnip. If Santa ever shows his fat, bearded face here, he'll have to contend with 4 crazed killer cats. |

| | | By the way, they have the site up for 2002.
1) The Japanese link ought to be in Kanji characters, not Western characters.
2) Where's the Hebrew link? |

| | Track Santa on his trip tonight | | Our friends at NORAD are doing their annual tracking of Santa, to make sure that Saddam and Osama don't blow him and Rudolph out of the sky, and to make sure he doesn't need any emergency assistance.
You can track him at www.noradsanta.org if you'd like... it's a great way to show kids the "proof" that Santa still exists. |
