Is this really something lawmakers should worry about? | If my 4 year old daughter's dead body was sexually abused by come sick pervert and I found out about it and all I heard from the police was "it's not against the law", I would have to break a few laws myself to make it right.
So, yes, if law enforcement is looking to put a stop to it and is powerless, it is up to the government to give them the ability to put a stop to it.

| | Re: It is now safe to die in California. | | I'm with Melanie and Elyzabeth. I think we do need a law. Child or adult. Male or female. If someone violated the body of one of my loved ones, I'd be livid.

Reason: I'm only guessing that Melanie and I would agree on this.

In Kentucky it is considered a felony to have sex with a corpse. Quote: |
Abuse of a corpse is a Class A misdemeanor, unless the act attempted or committed involved sexual intercourse or deviate sexual intercourse with the corpse or the deliberate failure to prepare, bury, or cremate a corpse after the acceptance of remuneration in accordance with any contract negotiated, in which case it is a Class D felony.
| What would be the difference (no, I do not really want to know) between sexual intercourse with a corpse and deviate sexual intercourse with a corpse?
