| | Jacko is NOT scoring points with the judge!!! | | Arrest Warrant Issued For Michael Jackson Quote:
An angry judge has issued an arrest warrant for entertainer Michael Jackson because he was late for court Thursday morning...
...Superior Court Judge Rodney S. Melville said he would also revoke Jackson's $3 million bail unless he appeared in court by 9:30 a.m. Pacific Time. | If he's not in court in 20 minutes, Jacko is going to the slammer. |

| | Re Jacko is NOT scoring points with the judge!!! | | What a performer! Quote: |
It was not immediately clear what action the judge would take against Jackson, who was forced to race from a hospital emergency room to the courthouse. The singer walked slowly, taking the arm of an aide, and was dressed in what appeared to be pajama bottoms under a dark jacket
| Such melodrama should earn him a Razz award.

| | Re Jacko is NOT scoring points with the judge!!! | | He's shown such disrespect for the court - it's appalling!!
The article that I read earlier said that he "walked gingerly" from the car. Then it said he walked slowly into court and appeared in pain. Who walks gingerly when they're in pain? Which one was it? |

| | Re Jacko is NOT scoring points with the judge!!! | | Gingerly Quote: |
In its early days in English it was associated specifically with dancing or walking. If you did these things gingerly you took small elegant steps. [...] Our modern sense, of moving carefully so as not to injure oneself, cause damage or make a noise, first appears about 1600.

| | Re Jacko is NOT scoring points with the judge!!! | | I'm embarrassed to say because I was so so wrong, and I'm too old to be that wrong about this kind of thing.
I thought it meant with a spring in his step. Sort of the opposite of what it really means.
Anyway. The judge didn't throw him in the slammer. |

I thought it meant with a spring in his step. | Maybe you were thinking of Virginia Katherine McMath?
