If you haven't grasped it from the title, this individual is very, very sick. What the title doesn't tell you is that he's also allegedly* molested two young girls in the same neighborhood.

This is another one where I really don't get it. Maybe I just have a violent streak- but why isn't he in protectvie custody? I know he wouldn't have harmed any dog if he'd touched one of my kids first. I am starting to think that we really do need a death penalty, and we can start with child molesters.

I don't know, but I'm hoping, if there's some silver cloud out of this, that he molested the girls before he did the dog, not after. Otherwise, who knows what else, on top of the horrifying experience, he subjected them to?

Here's one to ponder: Why is it the attack on the dog that gets the headline and the rape of the two little girls reported as an 'also'? Doesn't it say something about us that we are more horrified by someone who would rape a dog than about someone who would rape a child?

That's what I meant in my earlier post. How could he have molested two little girls and be out to attack anyone else - human, dog or other?

The Solicitor's office says it wants to make sure Williamson is out of this neighborhood while he's awaiting trial on the molestation and dog rape charges so they are requesting that his bond be revoked. Williamson's bond hearing will be held next Friday.

From the article. It sounds like he was charged with molesting the girls, got out on bail and raped the dog?

The girls' privacy is probably also being protected and so there could be less to report about that.

And raping a dog is sooo...weird. It isnt something you hear about. Child molestation is an unfortunate occurance the public is aware of, but who worries about their pets?

Pet rape is certainly rarer, which would explain the headline - notoriety via unusuallness. However, other forms of pet molestation are not as rare, just not generally seen as crimes since there's little evidence the pet experiences harm, psychologically or otherwise.

You're right of course. It's the rarity, the weirdness, the gross factor. But there's something very sad in that the story suggests that child rape is so prevalent that it takes an attack on a dog for the news story to get this sort of attention.

I don't think Jeff was being serious. I think Jeff was being sarcastic, considering the criminal will no doubt be treated to all HIS rights...rights those children and the dog never had a chance to see.
