A security guard, suspected of impersonating an officer and pulling people over for traffic offenses, is followed by Orange County deputies hoping to see him doing this. The guard tries to pull one of them over.  |

In the 'Who could have seen this coming?!' dept: Still some sngas in voting process
Because this time, undertrained election workers forgot to record the votes onto the cartridges.
I think we should send Florida a bunch of plastic counters, sort of like poker chips. You could give out red ones for one party, blue for the other, and then voters could place the counters in the appropriate box. I can't think how you could mess that up. I'm sure that if it can be done, though, it'll be done in Florida.  |

maybe the Florida Alligator thread needs to be a general Florida animal thread.
Now the story about the sister who (on her 13 year olds brother apprehension after trying to steal his 5th car) said "he's a good kid. He just has a problem with stealing cars" belongs here. |

I liked the one yesterday when the guy threw his smouldering laptop into the backseat of his car. Because, he said, he wanted to get it away from himself. I lost the link, but the story ends with the car going up in flames. It occurred to me that perhaps a better choice would have been to toss the laptop out the window onto the grass median strip. |
